Description

The cathedral was begun in 1083 by Simeon and completed by 1350. The aisled nave and transepts date to the 12th century building period. The north side of the transept has an arcade of round-headed arches which alternate in height and width. Above are two tiers of round-headed windows, the top tier traceried.
