This image is part of a group titled "Gus Fowler's Clocks". Augustus Gerald Fowler (1888-1960) was a magician whose show concentrated on tricks with watches and clocks. He was known as "The Watch King" and "The Chronometrical Illusionist". He was a friend of the Evans family, probably through J W Evans's son Harold Jenkins Evans who was also an illusionist, performing under the stage name of Bertram Evans.
