Description

The font is on an octagonal plinth, and in turn supported by a central column and four thinner columns around the base. On the left of the image is a smaller basin attached to the main font. There is a singular large carving visible, which could represent either fauna or flora. This font was installed in All Saint's Church after being removed from Elton Church in the 19th century. The church is originally 12th century and was restored 1869-70 by Norman Shaw. The number 1150 handwritten on the neg.
