The Point in View is a non-Conformist Chapel built in 1811 by the Misses Parminter. Cousins Jane and Mary Parminter were enthusiasts for the Christian Mission to the Jews and sought to help Jewish converts to Christianity. The chapel is surrounded by single storey almshouses, constructed to house single women. Close by is The Manse, built in 1829 as home to the Point in View Chaplain.
