Description

The photographer's notes state: 'Pound Place. Top of from High Street (s. side) looking S.E. Exposed fireplaces of No 2 (already demolished) showing'.

Later, 4-16 Pound Place were also demolished.

On the fencing around the site are a number of posters advertising films, dances and musical performances. There is also a large board stating: 'For Particulars of Shops to be erected on this site, Apply Messrs Foster & Foster Surveyors. 3 High St. Lewisham. S.E. 13. (Few Doors Kings Hall Cinema) And at Blackheath. S.E.3 (Opposite Station) Tele Lee Green 0999, 0634'.
