Description

The photographer's notes state: 'Houses in the street (E. side and north of the church) as seen from the bridge path bridge over the river Cray. This bridge is on the roadway that leaves the village street from the west side, a little to the south of the parish church, and goes westwards to the by-pass road. This roadway is on the line of the public footpath from the church to Perry Street, via Scadbury Park. The houses are from right to left as follows; Nos 1 & 2 (first block); Nos 3, 4, 4 &6 (white block); Nos 7, 8 & 9 (next block); and finally Nos 10 & 11 (white block)'.

The houses are now known as 1-11 River Cottages, Main Road.
