The photographer's notes state: 'The Oast-house from E.S.E. Looking across to the now solitary farmbuilding some way on the further side of the main road'.
There is also an additional note for the site stating: 'all the farmbuildings, but not the house were burnt down in 1938 (probably in early April) and were replaced by modern buildings later'.
