This is a photograph of an earlier photographic postcard. It is believed that the image was photographed by PEW Street c1920-1950.
The photographer's notes state: 'High Street looking westwards (a little closer). (This photographic postcard view taken on the same day as 51a)'. [51a refers to BB71/09162A which shows a very similar view of the street]
The front of the postcard has also been annotated with notes about the location and viewpoint of the image.
The buildings in the foreground on the north side of the road were 31, 33 and 35 High Street. They were demolished c1928. 116 and 118 Eltham High Street, on the south side, have also been demolished. They were located close to the site of the present day 154 and 156 Eltham High Street.
This image is on the same glass negative as BB71/09162A.
