Description

The photographer's notes state: 'Bower House. The house. The back in the evening. The upper room, with its own gabled roof, was formerly a schoolroom. Miss Ella Friend, the owner of this house, near the kitchen window'.

There is an additional note stating: 'Bower House was destroyed in an air raid about Nov 7 1940'.
