Description

The photographer's notes state: 'The same view but from further back. Taken in the summer. More of the yew hedge on the left shows. "The Rookery" itself not visible'.

Effingham Lodge was located on the west side of the High Street, opposite the Rookery and to the south of Spring Hall. It was demolished some time after the Second World War.

There is a crack in this negative, running from the upper left corner to the lower right one.
