Description

The photographer's notes state: 'The Priory. The auditorium space (used as a lawn tennis court) from the S.W. The above stone seat on right. Rambler roses on the pergola'.

It is believed that the 'auditorium space' that PEW Street is referring to is the box office garden designed by Sir Geoffrey Jellicoe, but this has not been confirmed.
