The photographer's notes state: 'The Priory. Delphiniums on the same path near the above steps. The path goes through the doorway in the wall above the steps and goes on southwards, to west of the upper lawn, to the house'.
According the photographer's notes for another image, the path and steps are on the west side of the lower lawn. It is believed that the lower lawn was located to the north or north-east of the main house.
