Description

Doctors Commons Archway connected St Paul's Churchyard with Dean's Court and stood beneath the house in which Sir Christopher Wren had his offices. The Doctors Common were lawyers and according to the historian John Stype the Doctors of Law College "consists of five courts—three appertaining to the see of Canterbury, one to the see of London, and one to the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralties".
