Description

This house was designed by architects Treadwell and Martin. Deepdene was the home of William J Stillman, the American painter, journalist and photographer, until his death in 1901. The house was renamed 'Longwood' at some point prior to the 1950s, and may now have been demolished.

This image was reproduced in 'American Architecture and Building News', January 29 1898, no. 1155.
