Description

East India House was demolished to make way for the new Liberty store at 208 to 222 Regent Street (built 1925). The Bedford Lemere daybook records Liberty and Company Limited as clients for this photograph. It is one of a pair of images commissioned by Liberty's, the other showing Chesham House (Regent Street) from where the company also traded at this time.
