This country house built in 1876, was designed by Ernest Seth-Smith. In 1898 the house was sold to Sir Charles Tennant and additional work was carried out c. 1905 and c. 1908. This photograph was taken for architectural decorators, cabinet makers and upholsterers Stenhouse Savage. 'Mrs Lubbock' is recorded in the notes column of the Bedford Lemere daybook.
