Description

Rackets (or racquets) is an indoor sport, played in an enclosed court, similar to squash. The rackets court at Haileybury College was constructed in 1908 by Joseph Bickley, and is unusual in having a double gallery. Bickley is also recorded as the client for this photograph. The college itself was founded in 1862 as a boys' public school.
