Description

Hatchard's booksellers were founded in 1797 when John Hatchard opened his first book shop at 173 Piccadilly, moving to 187 Piccadilly in 1801. Hatchard's commissioned the photograph perhaps to commemorate the shop as it appeared in 1908 shortly before it was rebuilt in 1909.
