Description

The Cavalry Club was founded in 1890 by Captain Wetherall of the 20th Hussars for those who have held commissions in the cavalry regiments, yeomanry regiments, Household Divisions, the Royal Horse Artillery, the Honourable Artillery Company and the Royal Tank Regiment. The Bedford Lemere daybook records Mewes and Davis, who were responsible for the 1908 extension, as architects. The builders Higgs and Hill appear in the clients column.
