Description

Designed by Charles Mewes and Arthur Davis with E Keynes Purchase, the Royal Automobile Club opened as a gentleman's club-house in 1911, the year this image was taken. The photograph was commissioned by George Holt Thomas, founder of the Association of British Motor Manufacturers and is one of a series showing mainly interiors of the newly completed building.
