Description

Designed by Charles Mewes and Arthur Davis with E Keynes Purchase, the Royal Automobile Club opened as a gentleman's club-house in 1911, the year this image was taken. The tepidarium forms part of the swimming pool and Turkish Bath complex. The photograph was commissioned by George Holt Thomas, founder of the Association of British Motor Manufacturers and is one of a series showing mainly interiors of the newly completed building.
