Description

Both models were made at the same scale, and this display was intended to demonstrate the growth of the White Star Line's ocean liners during the 40 years between the two ships' completion. The photograph was commissioned by the White Star Line, and was shot at the White City exhibition site, perhaps during the Anglo-American Exhibition of 1914.
