Description

Waring and Gillow were furniture manufacturers who established a reputation for supplying high quality furniture to some of the richest families in the country. During the First World War their factory and depository in Cambridge Road (later renamed Cambridge Grove), Hammersmith was used for making aeroplane components. The Bedford Lemere daybook records W&G as the clients for this photograph.
