This ocean liner was originally launched as SS Alsatian in March 1912, sailing between Liverpool and New Brunswick. She later became part of the Canadian Pacific Ocean fleet and was re-named 'Empress of France'. She was scrapped in 1934. The photograph was taken for the Canadian Pacific Railway Company whilst the ship was in dock in Southampton.
