Description

This Baroque mansion, built in 1715 for John Egerton, was gutted by fire in February 1926. The building lay in ruins until it was later hit by bombs during the Second World War. The photograph forms part of a set commissioned by H Farquharson, possibly Horace Farquharson, architect.
