The photograph of this art deco style co-operative society shop, dating from 1923, was taken for Shaws Glazed Brick Co Ltd. The text on the negative records that the building was designed by S W Ackroyd and that Marmola faience, manufactured by Shaws Glazed Brick Co, was used in its construction.
