The SS Tuscania was built in 1922 and named after the earlier SS Tuscania of 1914, which was torpedoed in 1918 whilst transporting US soldiers to Europe. The Bedford Lemere ships register records that this series of photographs was taken whilst the Tuscania was docked at King George V Dock in London in March or April 1928 (the daybook states 2nd of April, the ships register states March), and that the series was commissioned by the Cunard Steamship Company, the owners of the liner.
This is part of the Series: HBL01/01 Series of photographic negatives and prints; within the Collection: HBL01 The Bedford Lemere Collection
