Description

The image also shows work underway on the projecting steelwork of the eastern chimney, with the base of the chimney covered with scaffolding in preparation for cladding. Internally reinforced concrete hoppers are visible, and work has started on the base of the eastern chimney. In the foreground is the coal storage area and builders' huts.
