Description

The County Hall was built in 1935-1939. The building's final design was the result of an architectural competition won by James and Bywaters and Rowland Pierce with the design shown in this photograph. The firm also had success in competitions for the designs of Norwich City Hall and Slough Town Hall. The same design is also shown in CC47/00657-CC47/00659 and CC47/00661-CC47/00664.
