Description

Birmingham City Council organised an architectural competition in 1926 to design a new Civic Centre. This design was probably created for this competition. None of the entries were successful and T Cecil Howitt was instead asked to design the Municipal Offices, which were the only part of the Civic Centre to be built. The same design is also shown in CC47/00702-CC47/00703 and CC47/00707-CC47/00712.
