Description

Heston Airport was opened in July 1929. This hangar, designed by L M Austin and H F Murrel, was the first all-concrete hangar to be built in Britain. The airport closed in 1947 and many of the buildings were subsequently demolished, however this hangar remains extant. It is Grade II listed.
