This image is reproduced as Plate XIX in 'The Gardens of England: The Northern Counties', edited by Charles Holme, 1911. The gardens at Brockhole were laid out between 1899 and 1904 by Thomas Mawson, in collaboration with Dan Gibson who designed the house.
