Description

The cottage is also known as Washington House, being so named as it is thought to have been the home of an ancestor of George Washington, the first president of the United States of America.

The plaque is inscribed 'The Lord Giveth and The Lord Taketh Away. Blessed Be The Name of The Lord. Constrvcta 1606'.

The house is believed to have been demolished circa 1960.
