Description

The plaque is circular and blue with white lettering which reads; 'BOROUGH OF SUNDERLAND / PANN'S BANK / Pann's Bank has been the / commercial heart of old Sunderland / since the 10th Century. Used by / a succession of industries / until the shipyard closures of the / 1960's the ensing dereliction / has now been transformed / to attract new uses. / CIVIC TRUST COMMENDATION 1989
