Description

Photographer's note: 'engraved with the Thellusson greyhound family crest and stamped ‘J.C.S, lion passant, tiger’'s head, k, Queen Victoria’ which translates as maker, John Crane Salt (?), sterling silver, London, 1865, duty paid on the item during the reign of Queen Victoria. The inside of the tankard appears to be silver gilt. Measurements: height 140mm, width 155mm, diameter (at base) 120mm'.
