Description

Photographer's note: 'Lock of hair of Mary Tudor, sister of Henry VIII, Queen of France and later Duchess of Suffolk. She was buried at Bury St Edmunds Abbey in 1533, her tomb moved to the parish church of St Mary's at the Dissolution, and in 1784 when her coffin was moved again, within St Mary's, workmen opened it and took locks of her hair. This is one of them.'
