Description

The building was used as a film studio by Gainsborough Pictures between the 1930s and 1949. It was converted into apartments in the early 21st century. An extension was built to the south-east, adjoining the flank wall shown in this photograph, though the date of this addition is not known. This photograph was probably taken around the time of the building's conversion into flats, or soon after.
