Description

Dalton Crescent is part of a perimeter block of flats and maisonettes on the Byker Estate known as the Byker Wall. It was designed by Ralph Erksine in 1967, originally as a barrier block to shelter the estate from a proposed inner motorway. Plans for the motorway were revised by 1968, and the block was built in 1971-74.
