Description

This illustration was first reproduced on page 11 of the 2003 English Heritage guidebook for Grime's Graves, and again on page 12 of the 2011 reprint edition of the guidebook. Illustration IC046/027 shows these objects being carefully placed at the bottom of Greenwill's Pit during what has been interpreted as an 'abandonment ceremony'.
