Description

This illustration was reproduced on page 35 of the 1990 English Heritage guidebook for Portchester Castle, and again on page 30 of the 2003 guidebook for the site. This drawing is one of seven phased reconstructions of the castle, shown from the same viewpoint throughout its development. The illustration (or a reproduction of it) is thought to have been displayed in display case 8 at the site.
