Description

This set of illustrations has been used in various guidebooks for Stonehenge, in varying degrees of completeness. The last five diagrams were reproduced on page 12 of the 2005 and 2012 English Heritage guidebooks for Stonehenge, and four of the diagrams were reproduced on page 9 of the 2013 guidebook for the site.

This is drawing 1 of 2 depicting a possible method of raising the sarsen stones and trilithons at Stonehenge; see illustration IC095/027 for the second drawing.
