This simplified illustration was created with the intention of it being reproduced at a much-reduced scale; hence the drawing is not very detailed. The illustration was reproduced as part of a 'timeline of Stonehenge' graphic diagram across pages 32-33 of the 2013 English Heritage guidebook for Stonehenge, showing the development of Stonehenge in comparison with the development of monument construction and technological advances in the wider world. The reverse of the illustration is marked '4'.
