Description

Tower Hill Postern was a medieval stone gatehouse of the early construction phases of the Tower of London. It is known to have been in existence in 1190 , but had collapsed by 1440. A similar version of this illustration was reproduced on page 88 of the 1984 Department of the Environment guidebook for the Tower of London.
