Description

The plan of Manchester Buildings (now demolished) was redrawn from a plan in Liverpool Record Office, Liverpool Libraries, Acc.2961.

The plan of Windsor Buildings was redrawn with the consent of Edmund Kirby & Sons from plans in the Lancashire Record Office, DDX 162, 29/11–12, and 35–39.

The plan of India Buildings (now demolished) was redrawn from plans in Liverpool Record Office, Liverpool Libraries, Hf 942.7213 IND.

The plan of Brown’s Buildings (now demolished) was redrawn from a plan in The Builder (16 March 1861).

The plans of Albany Building (now The Albany) were redrawn from the architect’s signed plan in the possession of the Naylor Trust.

The plans are reproduced as Figure 49 on page 46 of ‘Built on Commerce: Liverpool's central business district’ by Joseph Sharples and John Stonard (2008).
