IMPINGTON TL 46 SW BRIDGE ROAD (EAST SIDE) 6/82A Memorial Stone c40 metres north of Cambridge to Histon railway line II Memorial stone 1849 replacement to Mrs Eliza Woodcock. Limestone. Square plinth surmounted by a short column with moulded cap and base. Inscriptions painted black on three faces of the plinth. 'In Memory of Eliz. Woodcock, lost on this spot in a snow storm, while returning from Cambridge Market Feb 2 1799. She was discovered eight days after 7 feet beneath the snow alive and in possession of all her senses and died July 24 of the same year aged 42'; 'The original stone recording this event being much defaced after standing 30 years this monument was erected by subscription June 19, 1849'. 'Mrs Woodcock was found by Wm, Muncey the present church clerk at Impington'.
