Early C19 refronting of older building, formerly part of the Pelican Inn (see No 20, The Broadway). Two storeys and dormers. Three windows. Tile roof. Stucco front with parapet. Two flat-topped sash dormers with glazing bars. Architraved sash windows to 1st floor with glazing bars. Modern shop front. At west end carriageway entrance to former inn yard. A print of circa 1825 (NMR) shows the present building forming part of a uniform 5 window range which included the site of No 16.
