SJ89SW WILMSLOW ROAD, Didsbury 698-1/8/684 (West side) War Memorial
GV II
War memorial. c.1920-25. Limestone. Three steps, square pedestal with lettered bronze plaque in each side and moulded top, tall cross with shield on each side of base and flaming torch on each side of shaft. Forms group with Didsbury Public Library to west (q.v.) and Rhodes Memorial Clock Tower (q.v.) on opposite side of road. Included for group value.
