House. "IIH 1721" on door lintel, 1724 on rainwater head.

Hammer-dressed stone and stone slate roof, rear wing in brick. The plan was originally one room to either side of a large central entrance and stair hall with 2 storeys and an attic. A bay was added to the left in C18 in a similar style and materials, and a brick wing to the rear which was built and extended at various dates. 5 bays, the original 4-bay sections having a total of six 3-light flat-faced mullion and transom windows with continuous hoodmoulds and a later bay-window. The door, in bay 3, has a moulded surround and inscribed lintel. The left hand bay has 6 and 4-light timber mullioned and transomed windows. Modillion eaves cornice, coped gables and 5 ridge chimney stacks with cornices. The rear and sides have various 2, 3 and 4-light mullion and transom windows. The brick wing has flat-faced 5-light mullioned windows with some leaded lights. Interior not inspected but apparently of little interest.
