1485 (West Side) Church of St Clement SP 5206 SE 11/129 12.1.54.

C 2.

Parish church. (RCHM 29). Built in 1828 on stone in Norman style to the designs of Daniel Robertson to replace the old church to east of Magdalen bridge. Restored and reseated 1871. In 1876 west gallery removed and other alterations by E C Bruton. New organ 1897. The fittings removed here from Old Church include 2 ancient bells, chest and plate. The glass in North side came from Carfax church.
