This estate was developed by Laing's Properties Limited, the property investment subsidiary company of John Laing and Son. Throughout the 1930s John Laing and Son were responsible for about one in fifty of the houses put up by private enterprise in the London area. The firm acquired a reputation for quality and they employed their own staff architect, David Adam. The company also often developed shopping and factory precincts next to these estates.
This image was catalogued in 2013 as part of a pilot project funded by the John Laing Charitable Trust.
